The secret to success is the quality of the relationships you have in your life. You cannot be successful on your own. You cannot make it on your own. Only a fool tries to make it on his or her own. No matter how brilliant and skillful you are, you cannot make your dream happen on your own. Your ideas will not automatically manifest themselves. You need the right people in your life if you want to make all your dreams come true. You need people of high value in your life who will help you actualize your dream.

To become great, you need great relationships. You need high value people in your life. Greatness is a product of great relationships.

Only an idiot tries to be successful alone, and it always ends in disaster and utter failure. So that we are clear, you CANNOT make it on your own. You need the right people in your life to help you attain and actualize your goals. You have to learn to build the right relationships in your life.

Here are 4 keys will help you build high value relationships.

  1. Choose the right people. Do not allow anyone force an unwanted relationship on you. Find the right people and connect with them. Walk away from the wrong people. Waiting for the right people to walk into your life is a mistake. It will never happen. If you want high value people in your life you have to seek them and connect with them.

  2. Feed and nurture the relationship. A relationship does not become successful by accident. A successful relationship is intentional. You have to nurture it, invest in it, spend time with it, feed it to make it grow into what you desire it to be. Relationships do not grow by themselves. If you want a great relationship you have to nurture it.

    3.Protect the relationship. So many people leave their life to chance. They believe that if it was meant to be, it will happen. This is idiotic. If you want anything good to happen in your life you have to take responsibility for it and make it happen. If you do not protect your relationship, it will fail and it will be your fault. If you do not protect your relationship from envious people who will try to sow strife and discord in it, it will fail. You have to draw boundaries around your relationship, if you don’t, anybody will have access to it and will sow seeds of destruction in that relationship.

    4.Lastly, learn to add value to your relationships. A relationship is sustained by value exchange. When you bring value to the table there will be respect and that value will be rewarded. A relationship begins to die when there is no longer value exchange, when one partner brings all the value and the other does nothing. Bringing mutual value to the table is what sustains great relationships. And great relationships will help you actualize great dreams.
